WEIRD AND WONDERFUL
-DREAMS DO COME TRUE-
For my own weird and wonderful project I've chosen the theme DREAMS+SURREALISM and aspire to work in the styles of Ronen Goldmen, who creates the dreams he has into surreal photographs. I also plan to work in the style of Taylor Marie McCormick, with her dream-like style, her work is quite intriguing. She has a really great way of telling a story in a single frame.
RONEN GOLDMEN
A magician tosses cards in a sweeping spiral in "Master Magician."
I think this photo represents what happens in our mind. The cards act as our thoughts. The thoughts that are constantly forgotten about and try to escape from our mind. This results in us having to chase after, to get them back. Personification is a key factor in this picture.

Shoot 1 - Stairway To Heaven
Analysis
In this shoot I wanted to show that love lives on forever, even in death. Instead of using Photoshop, I used an app called Adobe Cut Out. To do this picture, I simply did what I would do on Photoshop, first merging the layers, and then changing the opacity on the stairway. I love everything about this photo, which is meant to represent the idea of being in love with love in any circumstance.

SHOOT 2
My inspiration for my first shoot came from the Disney film 'Up'. I wanted to recreate the reoccurring theme of dreams and making the impossible possible . My aim was to capture the sense of doing something out of the ordinary. What could be possibly be farther from the ordinary than floating into the clouds with an umbrella? My actual aim is making the extraordinary to come to life.
Shoot 1 - Editing Process
Final Piece
Analysis
This shoot was inspired from the Disney film 'Up'. The film was about making the impossible possible and that dreams do come true- which ties in to my chosen theme. However, instead of using balloons, I've improvised with an umbrella, this is to show that person being whisked away and floating towards their dream up in the clouds, that old saying 'get your head out of the clouds' doesn't apply here. Its the polar opposite, her head is in the clouds because the dream lays there.

Shoot 3
Final Piece
Analysis
I love the illusion of the girl being trapped in the jar. Her body language looks like she is trying to resist being trapped in the jar and almost forcing her way out by pushing it. Her facial expression looks surprised. The photo looks as if it is sending out a message maybe something along the lines of...being trapped in a big world makes you feel small? The jar representing the world of course and its effect on how it can big things, even people feel small.
Shoot 4 - Tangled Up
Analysis
The inspiration for my final shoot came from my own experience. I wanted to portray how one can easily get caught up or in this case tangled up in our own thoughts. What this photo represents is that our thoughts can overtake us, make us feel trapped and sometimes fearful, in some ways we are our own worst enemies. To create this photo I had used a previous photograph that I'd taken in the beginning of the year and merged it with a photo of a class mate. I then proceeded to use Photoshop to experiment with an array of different techniques, until I had my desired effect.
